About.

We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that helps small charities work with big brands

The UK is experiencing a significant decline in the small charity sector, with more small charities closing each year than opening. This is concerning because  78% of small charities work on a local level, compared to only 5% of super-major charities. Consequently, this trend is leading to a national social welfare crisis, with those who require community-based support suffering the most.

Charity Nest specialises in helping local charities work with big brands, ensuring the charities generate true social impact and the brands deliver on their CSR objectives.

Our Disciplines.

In the UK, 82% of charities are small charities (136,000+), and the majority of small charities (79%) work locally, compared to only a small number (5%) of super-major charities. At present, within the UK, we are experiencing a significant decline within our small charity sector, with more small charities closing each year than opening.  For the last 10 years, small charities’ income has also decreased by 20%, whereas the income of larger charities has increased by 30%.

94% of global consumers think that businesses should do more than just make money (they should give back), and in the UK, 78% of people are concerned about the health of those who are most vulnerable in their communities and want to see more support for local community projects and charities. However, three quarters (73%) of charities and community groups say they struggle with opportunities to meet and work with businesses.

Charity Nest’s mission is to help businesses and charities work together to form long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships. To achieve this, we help charities conduct hassle-free fundraising campaigns while concurrently helping businesses to communicate positive outcomes, save time and minimise the risk of fraud. We also ensure accessibility and equity through clear communication pathways and accurate data capture.

Why.

Major brands continue to devote considerable resources to partnering with well-established major and super-major charity partners.  Our research suggests this is because it is a more streamlined approach that yields greater opportunities to deliver tangible impact and communicable outcomes. However, it is possible to measure tangible impact and create communicable outcomes by supporting hundreds of different charities, but brands lack the systems to track the analytics and capture the most meaningful stories.

We believe with our help ALL charities will get the opportunities they deserve.

Our Ambition.

Purpose.

Charity Nest was founded to support small and local charities which have a direct impact on people’s lives. These kind of charities have been created to help people who have been failed by the community or authority which is supposed to safeguard them.

Mission.

The work these small organisations do can be fundamental to the sustainable protection of the most vulnerable people in our local communities. Charity Nest exists to ensure that these charities, when in need of help, have a place to go and people to support them.

Let's work together
